A last minute point helped Newmarket snatch a draw in their division 2 football league encounter with St. Michaels. At full time scoreboard showed Newmarket 2-14, St. Michaels 3-11. The game was played on Sunday July 8th in Newmarket.

Newmarket are through to the Tom Creedon cup final, following a 2-12/0-11 victory over St Michaels in a game which was played in testing conditions in Blackrock.

The Newmarket senior football team travelled to Blackrock on Thursday evening for a Division 2 League contest, but went down to a clear defeat against an impressive St. Michaels by 2-11 to 0-8.

Newmarket were defeated in their first outing of this years Division 3 Intermediate football league when they travelled to St. Michaels and were on the receiving end of a 0-12 to 0-9 scoreline.
