Newmarket’s senior footballers return to Páirc Uí Chaoimh this Saturday after a gap of two years, to take on Newcestown in the penultimate stage of this year’s championship.
After a dramatic set of Senior A football championship quarter finals over the weekend, Newmarket’s semi opposition is now known.
Newmarket’s intermediate footballers completed their preparations for next Sunday’s championship encounter against Killavullen, with a disappointing league defeat, away to Newcestown on Sunday morning last, by 2-14 to 0-7.
A last minute goal was decisive as Newcestown snatched victory from Newmarket in a premier intermediate football league game played at Newmarket last Wednesday, the result favouring the Carbery side by 2-6 to 0-10.
