Culloty’s goal clinched title for Newmarket
NEWMARKET regained the Duhallow Junior hurling league title after a lapse of six years, their last victory having been in 1977, when they defeated Meelin by 2 two-point margin in a hard-fought final at Banteer on Sunday.

Newmarket win second divisional title
Newmarket won their second divisional title by defeating Kanturk (holders) by 3-05 to 1-03 in a thrilling Duhallow junior hurling final at Newmarket GAA Grounds on Sunday. Newmarket regained the title last held by them in 1948 and became the first Duhallow club ever to annex divisional hurling and football honours in the same year.
