Newmarket and Meelin GAA Clubs are holding a joint fundraiser in the form of a boxing encounter: “Showdown of the County Champions” to be held in Safari’s Nite Club on Friday, February 22nd.

A great nights entertainment is ensured as fifteen bouts between various individuals from both clubs is on the bill to be followed by a disco. Tickets are priced at €20 each and are now available to purchase.
Membership of the club is now due for renewal. The cost for 2013 is as follows: Players €50, Adults €30, Students €25.

The draw for this year’s Tadhg Crowley Cup competition has taken place and Newmarket’s senior footballers face a long journey to take on current Cork County Senior Football Champions, Castlehaven on the weekend of January 19th.
Newmarket GAA Club is organising a scrap metal collection weekend on Friday evening July 15th, from 7pm to 9pm and Saturday, July 16th from 10am to 4pm at Newmarket GAA Grounds.
Bring all your unwanted scrap metal, batteries, old tractors and farm machinery, scrap cars, copper, electrical goods, motors, etc, and dispose of them for free. By doing so you will help the club to raise funds.
Fridges, freezers, timber or plastic will NOT be accepted. Further information available from club committee members.
Friends and supporters of Newmarket GAA Club gathered in the United Cultural Centre in San Francisco last month where they held a fundraiser for the club.
The result of the raffle draw on the night was 1st Prize: XL GAA Jacket, Sarah Burke James; 2nd Prize: L GAA Windbreaker: Brendan Kenneally, 3rd Prize: Bottle of Jameson and GAA book: Tom O’Callaghan, Other Prizes: Bottle of Wine and GAA Book: Kevin Breslin, John Hickey, Ellen Kearney, Frank Moynihan, Brian Guiney.
Newmarket GAA Club are very grateful to the organising committee and was delighted to receive the proceeds from the event.
