Robert Emmets secured another famous Duhallow Under 21A title, with a hard fought win over Croke Rovers on Saturday evening. With Robert Emmets having overcome Sliabh Luachra Gaels and Croke Rovers having defeated Kanturk at the semi final stage, both teams fancied their chances of victory in the Central Sports Kanturk sponsored competition.
Robert Emmets recorded a fine victory over defending champions Croke Rovers in the Duhallow Under 21 Hurling Championship semi final, played at Tullylease on Tuesday evening. In doing so, Robert Emmets have qualified for the final for a third successive year, emerging from an excellent contest by 2-19 to 1-20.

Robert Emmets went down in disappointing manner to a far superior Croke Rovers side, by 1-20 to 0-6 in the Duhallow Under 21 hurling final, played in at times appalling weather conditions at Tullylease on Saturday afternoon.

Newmarket edged out Croke Rovers by 2-13 to 1-13 in an evenly contested minor hurling championship encounter at Rockchapel on Monday evening.
A battling second half performance just fell short as Newmarket fought back from a ten point half point deficit to narrowly lose out to Croke Rovers by 2-13 to 2-11 in a minor hurling league game played at Newmarket on Monday evening.
The Newmarket under 16 footballers recorded a big win away to Croke Rovers yesterday evening. After last weeks excellent result against Boherbue, the Newmarket boys lined out against Croke Rovers in Castlemagner on a perfect evening for football.

Newmarket’s minor footballers had their first league outing away to Croke Rovers at Castlemagner on Saturday evening, with a strong home side claiming the points by 4-10 to 1-5.
Newmarkets minor hurlers were defeated in the championship semi final by Croke Rovers, 4-9 to 1-11, played in ideal conditions at Castlemagner on Saturday last.
Newmarket’s minor footballers were defeated in the championship by Croke Rovers in Kanturk on Saturday evening, 2-10 to 1-6, and thus relinquished the title they have claimed for the previous three seasons.
Newmarket U-12 hurlers won the Duhallow U12C Hurling Knockout Championship title in Kanturk on Saturday, defeating Croke Rovers on a scoreline of 3-15 to 3-04.
