Robert Emmetts bowed out of the u21A County Championship after they were defeated by Aghada on a scoreline of 0-10 to 1-14 in the Quarter Final.

Robert Emmets held out to edge past Aghada by a point, 3-4 to 0-12 in the County Under 21 B football championship, played at Ballyhooly on Friday night. A hat trick of goals from Daniel Culloty, the latter two converted from the penalty spot, proved the pivotal scores to a hard earned victory, while at the other end, team captain David Quinlan proved a colossus in goals with a series of wonderful saves throughout.
Newmarket went down to a narrow defeat against Aghada in the second round of the Cork County Senior Football Championship at Mourne Abbey on Saturday evening. A very strong breeze dictated the manner of the game, with the East Cork side holding out for a slender 1-8 to 0-9 victory.
Newmarket deservedly progressed into Round 4 of the Evening Echo Senior Football Championship as a typically outstanding team effort ensured victory over Aghada by 0-10 to 0-8 and another historic feat for the team, at Killavullen on Saturday night. As well as progression in the championship the second round victory also ensures the club’s senior status for a further twelve months at least.
Newmarket travel to Killavullen on Saturday evening, for their second round encounter against Aghada in the Evening Echo Senior Football Championship. The game is timed for 8pm.
