Junior B’s progress to the final
Newmarket’s junior B hurlers took on Meelin on Monday night at Banteer’s all weather pitch in round three of the championship. The fixture effectively acted as a semi final, with the winners to progress to the decider.
Newmarket held a five point lead at the break, 1-13 to 1-08, with wing-forward Colin O’Sullivan providing the goal. O’Sullivan goaled again in the second half, as Newmarket secured a high scoring 2-25 to 2-14 victory. With eleven different providers of scores on the night, Newmarket can now look ahead to the final against Dromtarriffe, as they attempt to complete a league and championship double.
