Juniors advance to Ducon semi final
The junior A footballers of Newmarket travelled to Lismire on Thursday last, to take on Kilbrin in the quarter final of the Ducon Cup.
DJ O’Sullivan opened the evening’s scoring, with Eddie Allen following up soon after. A hat-trick of points from Hugh O’Connor saw Newmarket lead 0-05 to 0-02 at the quarter hour mark. Scores from O’Connor and Daniel Culloty pushed the advantage out to eight with a Culloty goal on 23 minutes cementing Newmarket’s dominance. An O’Connor point just on the stroke of half time, ensured his side led 2-08 to 0-02 at the short whistle.
