A late second half goal sealed the victory for Dromtarriffe, in the latest round of the Duhallow Junior A league.

The Sunday morning fixture was an even contest, with Newmarket ahead by a point, 0-06 to 0-05, approaching twenty minutes. A stronger finish to the half, saw the home side stretch the advantage to three, to lead 0-11 to 0-08, at the short whistle.

The travelling side started off the brighter after the break and levelled the contest on 42 minutes. The decisive score of the game was to come five minutes later, with Dromtarriffe netting the only goal of the match, to lead by two. With time almost up, Newmarket reduced the margin to the minimum, but Dromtarriffe registered the last two scores of the day, to win out, 0-17 to 1-17.
