T.J. Bodie scored Newmarket’s first points but a Bantry goal paved the way for an early lead. Newmarket’s other points during the half came from Mark Reidy, Nicky Flanagan and T.J. Bodie but Bantry held a 1-5 to 0-5 lead at the turnover.

Newmarket had points in the second half through T.J. Bodie, Mark Reidy and Denys O’Brien but Bantry added two points during this spell before adding a second goal to leave the score at 2-7 to 0-8.
