A storming display in the final ten minutes, when they enjoyed the advantage of an extra man, enabled Newmarket to edge past Carrigaline in the replay of the County under 21 football championship, 0-10 to 1-6 at Donoughmore on Wednesday evening.
Newmarket’s junior hurlers recorded a really notable victory when they disposed of defending champions Kilbrin in the EPS Bison Duhallow hurling championship by 0-17 to 0-16 after a very entertaining contest at Tullylease on Friday evening, with the sides level on no less than nine occasions during the hour.

Newmarket were defeated by Knocknagree, despite a very creditable performance in the first round of the Duhallow junior football championship by 1-12 to 0-8 at Boherbue on Tuesday evening.
Newmarket travelled to Kanturk on Monday evening to take on the home side and ended the game by claiming their first league victory by 0-14 to 1-6.

Newmarket were defeated by Millstreet in the minor football league by 1-16 to 0-7 at Newmarket on Monday evening.
