Congratulations to Jerry McAuliffe, Coolagh who won €1,500 in the May, Cork County Board GAA Clubs Draw.

Newmarket knocked out of Ducon Cup

Newmarket’s Ducon Cup campaign came to an end when they were defeated by Dromtariffe in the quarter final at Cullen on Wednesday evening by 0-14 to 0-6.

Newmarket record facile victory in intermediate football league

Newmarket overwhelmed a hugely disappointing Youghal side in the intermediate football league played at Mourne Abbey on Tuesday evening, recording a mammouth 3-19 to 1-1 victory.

Newmarket record second successive victory in the junior B hurling league

Newmarket maintained their terrific start to the junior B hurling league when they recorded their second successive victory at home to Meelin on Thursday evening by 3-13 to 4-8 in a keenly contested game.

Congratulations to Tony and Munster

A special congratulations to former Newmarket player Tony Buckley, who won a Heineken Cup Medal with Munster on Saturday in Cardiff. Tony came on for ten minutes for Marcus Horan and unsurprisingly issued out some big hits to the Toulouse men during the period. Congratulations again to Tony & Munster on their historic victory.

Historic win in Junior B Hurling

Newmarket competed their first junior B hurling game in over a decade when they travelled to Kilbrin on Sunday and emerged with a fine win from an entertaining contest, 2-12 to 0-14 in perfect conditions on a warm day.

Clinical Banteer defeat Minor hurlers

Newmarket’s minor hurlers had their first outing of the year at home to Banteer on Tuesday evening and despite a bright start, a clinical Banteer side emerged comprehensive victors at the end by 6-15 to 1-7.
