Newmarket Juniors contest the Nevin Cup Final
Newmarket Junior footballers are contesting the Nevin Cup Final tonight, November 23rd 2007, at 8:00pm, under lights. The game is being played in Knocknagree, against the home team.
As we all know the Nevin Cup is named after a former Newmarket Gael Jim Nevin. (If anyone wants to send us some more information on Jim, please do)
It is a great achievement by Newmarkets second team to reach the final of this Junior A competition. The boys came through their group undefeated, notching up some impressive victories against Kiskeam, Kanturk and Boherbue. This is Newmarkets second final in the last few years, having won the competition in 2004 for the very first time in the Club’s history.
