The gallery has been updated with photos from the 2004 season, including the Nevin Cup & Division 2 league winning footballers and the minor double winners.


Also added are photos from this years Cul Camp, which was attended last week by Cork players James Masters and Diarmuid Duggan.

Newmarket hurlers claim victory in Championship

Newmarket’s minor hurlers produced a stirring final ten minutes to claim victory over Banteer by 1-14 to 0-9, in the championship game played at the latters venue on Wednesday evening last.

Brave under 21 footballers go down to Macroom

Newmarket’s under 21 football team were defeated by a strong Macroom side in the County semi final played at Banteer on Wednesday evening by 1-11 to 0-6.

Hurlers bow out of championship

Newmarket bowed out of this years EPS Bison Duhallow hurling championship, when Banteer emerged clear winners by 2-15 to 2-8, in the replayed second round tie played at windswept Millstreet on Saturday evening.

Fundraising night at Curraheen Park Greyhound Track

Newmarket GAA Club are running a fundraising night at Curraheen Park, Greyhound Track, Cork on Thursday, August 30th.

Committee members are currently selling admission tickets which also entitles entry into a free raffle. Sponsorship and dog nominations are also available. All support is greatly appreciated.

Minor footballers relinquish title

Newmarket’s minor footballers were defeated in the championship by Croke Rovers in Kanturk on Saturday evening, 2-10 to 1-6, and thus relinquished the title they have claimed for the previous three seasons.

Another draw for hurlers in championship

An exciting climax ensured Newmarket and Banteer drew 1-13 to 2-10 in the second round of the EPS Bison Duhallow hurling championship, played in splendid sunshine at Millstreet on Tuesday evening last.
