Newmarket GAA Club are extremely grateful to local rugby star and former player Tony Buckley, who has presented the club with a Munster rugby jersey signed by the squad that won the historic Heineken European Cup final.

Tony, was a member of that famous squad and has been lining out in recent times for both Shannon and Munster. His career reached a new high recently when he was called up to the Irish international squad that will be touring Argentina shortly in preparation for the forthcoming World Cup.

The club would like to thank Liam Lynch who has framed this collectors item. Lines are currently on sale for this super prize in many local business outlets for €3 each, where the jersey will be on display at various intervals. The jersey will be raffled on the night of Monday, June 4th after the clubs weekly lotto draw.

Once again the club would like to express its gratitude to Tony and wish him every success in his flourishing career which will be closely monitored by all in his home club.
